USAGE
GC 075 VEHICLE COMMUNICATOR WITH DRIVER IDENTIFICATION is designed for hidden installation into vehicles and other moving objects. It is intended for use mainly as VEHICLE MONITORING UNIT for tracking of vehicle operation, creation of electronic book of rides and as GSM CAR ALARM with transmission of alarms and GPS position of vehicle to the mobile phone of owner or security agency. It is possible to connect a multifunctional touchscreen LCD display for both-way communication with central dispatching or between vehicles via multifunctional touchscreen LCD – MESSAGING. Display can be also used for control of peripheral devices, navigation or other specific user application.
DESCRIPTION
GC 075 contains (according to specific type) GSM/GPRS module, GPS module, CAN-bus, 3D G-sensor, 2 binary inputs, 1 binary output, Dallas-bus, USB connector. In real time it detects GPS position. CAN-bus provides information from vehicle control unit, input status information and so on. All data collected is stored in an internal memory and at the same time is being transmitted regularly via GSM/GPRS to the server, where it is evaluated, processed and displayed. GC 075 fully supports SMS communication for parameter settings, alarm transmissions, output settings and reading of measured values. The unit also supports remote control by a cell phone (paging), by modem or via internet from remote PC. It is possible to connect a multifunctional touchscreen LCD display for both-way communication, navigation, multimedia applications (video, audio, pictures…) and much more. GC 075 is distributed with cables for connection of inputs, outputs, power supply and all the accessories according to chosen type (i.e. GPS antenna).
CAN-BUS AND FMS-PROTOCOL
CAN-bus is used mainly for internal communication network of sensors and operational units in a vehicle and therefore it is a perfect tool for vehicle diagnostics. CAN-bus enables acquiring lots of operational information (hood or door opening, ignition and lights on or off, speed, brakes activation and much more) from one spot on a car. It works with many communication protocols. GC 075 works with the most frequent protocol FMS. This protocol has become a standard communication protocol for all trucks and provides information about tachometer and tachograph, fuel level and consumption and so on.
